How to Use X Engagement Analyzer (2026 Guide)

Paste your X Analytics numbers and find out which post types earn impressions, profile visits and follows.

Open X Engagement Analyzer →

X Analytics gives you impressions, engagements, profile visits and follows per post. What it does not do is tell you which post types are actually earning followers. The X Engagement Analyzer takes the numbers you paste and diagnoses the funnel: impressions to profile visits to follows, by post type.

This guide explains what to paste, how to read the funnel and how to use the three changes the report recommends.

What to paste

For your last twenty to thirty posts: type (thread, single, reply, quote), topic, impressions, engagements, profile visits and follows if shown. Even a rough export works; the report tells you what it could not compute and where to find it.

The funnel by post type

It is common to find that replies produce the most profile visits per impression and threads produce the most follows per visit — which means replies should point people toward the profile and the pinned thread should be the closer. The report shows exactly where the funnel leaks for each type.

Three changes and what to stop

Changes are ordered by impact and are specific — "pin the technique thread", "cut link posts from the body", "reply to accounts with 10–50k followers, not 500k". The "what to stop" section is often the most valuable: most accounts have one post type that costs time and earns nothing.

Tips

  • Use the same 28-day window every run so the results are comparable.
  • Include the topic of each post; format explains half, topic the other half.
  • Act on change one alone for two weeks, then re-run.

Common mistakes

  • Judging by likes — Likes are the weakest signal. Profile visits and follows are what compound.
  • Too few posts — Ten posts cannot show a pattern by type. Paste twenty or more.
  • Ignoring replies — They are usually the largest source of profile visits and are missing from most creators' analysis.

Worked example

Input: 26 posts pasted: 6 threads, 10 singles, 8 replies, 2 quotes with impressions, engagements, visits, follows.

What the report returned: Replies: 41% of profile visits at 4× the visit rate of singles. Threads: 2.8% visit-to-follow vs 0.9% for singles. Changes: pin the top thread, shift 3 single slots to replies, stop quote posts (0 follows). Missing: follows per post — enable in Analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Does it use the X API?

No. The API is paid and rate-limited; paste the numbers from X Analytics or an export.

What is a good engagement rate on X?

It depends on size and type. The report benchmarks your numbers against typical ranges for your follower count rather than a single figure.

Can it analyse Premium long posts?

Yes. Mark them as a separate type in your paste.
