How to Use Facebook Page Audit (2026 Guide)

A full Facebook Page audit — positioning, post mix, hooks, consistency, conversion — with a prioritised fix list and a 30-day plan.

A Page audit looks at everything at once: the profile a visitor sees, the positioning the posts communicate, the format mix, the hooks, the consistency, the community around it and whether any of that turns visitors into followers. The Facebook Page Audit scores each area, names the three highest-impact fixes and lays out a 30-day plan.

This guide explains the seven scores, how to read the priority order, and what to paste for the most useful audit.

Seven scores

Profile and pinned post; positioning; post mix and format; hooks; consistency and timing; community (comments, Group, replies); follower conversion. Each is scored out of 100 with the reasoning, so you can see where the Page is strong and where it is leaking. A Page with strong hooks and weak conversion has an audience it is not keeping; a Page with strong positioning and weak hooks has a message nobody reads.

Three fixes, in order

The report picks the three changes with the biggest expected effect and puts them in order. The first is usually cheap and structural — the pinned post, the CTA button, the posting window — because that moves the numbers fastest and funds the harder work.

The 30-day plan and the summary

Week by week: what to change, what to post and what to measure. The 400-word strategy summary is written to be shared with a team or a client — it states where the Page is, where it should go and why.

Tips

  • Paste the Page intro and About text, the last ten posts with their reach and engagement, and the follower count.
  • Say what the Page is for commercially; the conversion score means different things for a shop and a community.
  • Re-audit after 30 days with the new numbers and compare the scores.

Common mistakes

  • Describing the Page you want — Describe the one you have. The audit works from reality.
  • Skipping the numbers — Without reach and engagement figures the consistency and conversion scores are guesses.
  • Doing fix three first — The order is the point.

Worked example

Input: Local bakery Page, 6,000 followers, posts daily photos of product, 2 Reels a month, no pinned post, intro "Fresh bread daily".

What the report returned: Scores: profile 38, positioning 62, mix 45, hooks 40, consistency 85, community 55, conversion 30. Fixes: pin the "how to pre-order" post and set the Order button; cut photos to 3/week and add 2 Reels; open every post with a question. Plan: week 1 profile, weeks 2–4 format shift.

Frequently asked questions

Is this different from the Engagement Analyzer?

Yes. The Analyzer reads performance numbers; the Audit covers the whole Page including profile, positioning and community, and produces a plan.

Can it audit a Group instead of a Page?

Use the Group Engagement Planner for Groups. The Audit is Page-specific.

How often should I audit?

Quarterly, or after a significant change in what the Page is for.
