Meta Business Suite gives a Page more numbers than most admins know what to do with. Reach, reactions, comments, shares, link clicks, by post and by format — but not the sentence that tells you what to change. The Facebook Engagement Analyzer reads the numbers you paste and produces that sentence, plus the three changes to make next.
This guide explains what to paste, how the report reads reach against engagement, and why shares get the most weight.
What to paste
Followers, then for each recent post: format, reach, reactions, comments, shares and clicks. Ten to twenty posts is enough. The report does not invent numbers; it computes rates from what you give it and marks any gap where a number would have changed the verdict.
Reach against engagement
High reach with low comments means the hook works but the post does not invite a response. Low reach with high comments means the content is strong but under-distributed — usually a format or timing problem. The report diagnoses which of these you have, per format, and names which post types are carrying the Page and which are dead weight.
Rates and the three changes
Comment rate, share rate and click rate are computed and judged against what is normal for a Page of your size. Shares get the most weight because they are the strongest distribution signal Facebook has. The report ends with three changes in priority order and how to tell within two weeks whether each worked.
Tips
- Export from Meta Business Suite rather than retyping; paste the table as-is.
- Include at least one post from each format you use so the format comparison is real.
- Re-run after each change with the new numbers; the second report is where the value is.
Common mistakes
- Only pasting your best posts — The diagnosis needs the failures to explain the wins.
- Reading reactions as success — Reactions are the weakest signal. Comments and shares move reach.
- Changing everything at once — Make the top change, measure, then the next.
Worked example
Input: 9,000 followers. 15 posts: Reels average reach 22k / 40 comments / 180 shares; photo posts 3k / 55 comments / 4 shares; link posts 900 / 3 / 1.
What the report returned: Verdict: Reels carry reach and shares; photo posts carry conversation. Link posts are dead weight. Changes: 1) move links to the first comment of photo posts; 2) end Reels on a question — comments are low for the reach; 3) post photo posts in the window when comments already peak.
Frequently asked questions
Does it connect to Meta Business Suite?
No. Paste the numbers; nothing is pulled from your account.
What if I only have Page-level totals?
It will still diagnose reach vs engagement overall, but per-post numbers give a far better report.
Can it analyse a Group?
Yes — paste the Group insights (active members, posts, comments, reactions) and it adapts.
